WHAT T.E.A. ARE DOING?
The T.E.A. Project is a children’s rights led organisation. We believe that all children have the right to Provision, Prevention, Participation & Protection.
-
Training
Programmes in English, Sinhala and Tamil promote health, safety, well-being and empowerment of children. We train professionals to develop best practice methods and uphold children’s rights.
-
Empowerment
We believe the empowerment of children is central to poverty alleviation. The project supports child care services at local and national level to improve standards and provision; encouraging service providers to value the contribution made by children.
-
Awareness
The project promotes the voice of every child and actively engages with children to make change. We advocate for children and run education programmes to increase practical awareness of the universal rights and principles enshrined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Support the Tiny-T.E.A. Pre-SchoolDonate Now
Local Principles believe The Centre helps children improve their education, develop themselves and achieve their potential.
The Centre helps children achieve their higher studies and find good jobs. Local schools do not have enough facilities.
Some subjects are not taught due to lack of teachers. The T.E.A. Project helps children find a correct future path. -
Support the Youth Empowerment School (YES)Donate Now
Children said The Centre is valuable for their future and free programmes help their parents. Travel is too far and expensive.'We want to learn new skills and have a better future than our parents'. Our parents cannot afford extra classes or materials for education'.

Support the Food ProgrammeDonate Now
Teachers said many children do not bring food to school – malnutrition is high in rural areas. Schools often see 40% absenteeism. Nutrition levels are poor.
Many students stop their studies because they have learning difficulties such as reading and writing; partly due to a lack of proper diet. The T.E.A. Project provides free, daily, & nutritious food to all our students and staff.
